About Alison
I have worked in probate for over 20 years and act for executors and personal representatives – both private individuals and professionals – advising them on all aspects of probate.
My clients are often close family members or friends of a deceased person who have been appointed executor or personal representative. I also act for professional executors, such as the partners at Moore Barlow.
I help clients obtain the Grant of Representation / Probate to the deceased’s estate. I collate all information about the deceased’s assets and report to the Inland Revenue where appropriate. I help enable the deceased’s estate to be distributed as quickly and efficiently as possible either in accordance with the terms of the deceased’s will or under the intestacy rules.
I also ensure that all appropriate reliefs and exemptions are claimed.
This can be a difficult time for clients. I adopt a sympathetic approach and am understanding and empathetic to my clients’ and their family’s needs.
Previously, I have undertaken will drafting, inheritance tax planning, court of protection applications, registering enduring powers of attorney and lasting powers of attorney, as well as estate administration so I have wide ranging experience in dealing with matters related to later life.
I am married with a daughter and enjoy cooking, reading and socialising with family and friends.
