About Claire

I am a Senior Associate in the firm’s serious injury team.

I help clients with a wide range of personal injury claims with a particular interest in brain injury.  I deal with claims that are complex and high value arising out of road traffic accidents and workplace accidents.

I am passionate and sympathetic to the needs of my clients who have sustained life changing injuries.  I ensure they are fully supported through the complex litigation process to obtain the best possible results.

I work with multidisciplinary teams of medical and non-medical experts to support my clients and their families and to ensure early access to necessary rehabilitation by way of interim payments.

I began my legal career as a FILEX (Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives) and went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the University of the West of England, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2003.

In my spare time I am busy with two children and enjoy camping and surfing.

Recent cases

  • Secured 6.3 million gross settlement for a pedestrian who sustained a brain injury and orthopaedic injuries. Liability was agreed on a 1/3 basis in favour of the Claimant, resulting in a net settlement of over 2 million.
  • 1 million pound settlement for child who was hit by a car whilst crossing a road near his home. Liability for the accident was denied by the Defendant.  The claim settled at a RTM shortly before trial.
  • Secured a settlement of 1.2 million for a Claimant who developed Functional Neurological Disorder following a road traffic accident.
  • Settled a child brain injury claim for 1.1 million at RTM. Liability for the accident was admitted but significant arguments were raised by the Defendant in relation to causation of the Claimant’s complex presentation.
  • Secured a £750k settlement in a public liability claim where the Claimant sustained a moderate brain injury.  Liability was not formal admitted but the claim was settled following an offer made by the Defendant to settle on a Without Prejudice basis.
