Groundbreaking cases for our medical negligence team
Our medical negligence team was recognised for a case which included a High Court win for a brain-injured man following a GP’s failure to diagnose herpes simplex encephalitis, a rare brain condition. The judge accepted the evidence that the client’s deterioration would have been less severe if the treatment had commenced earlier.
In another case, our medical negligence team achieved a structured financial settlement of over £10 million for the family of a child who pursued a wrongful birth claim following antenatal failures to advise them that their child was likely to be born with significant disabilities despite repeated parental concern and extensive investigations across two hospitals during the mother’s pregnancy.
