About Emma
Attended Richard Taunton Sixth Form College and studied criminology, sociology and law. I then went on to the University of Winchester where I achieved my law degree.
During my degree, I spent three years at Adams Morey Ltd in the accounts department as a purchase ledger clerk. After achieving my law degree at The University of Winchester, my first legal role was at Paris Smith LLP in the Court of protection team, where I spent just under a year, as the COP team assistant. My main tasks were to:
- Raise the quarterly and EOY bills
- Bundle up WIP and correspondence for the reporting year to be sent to the cost draftsman to then be assessed by the SCCO
- Client’s monthly bank reconciliations
- Assisted with both chargeable and non-chargeable work within the COP team.
My time in an accounts office has definitely helped with the finance side of COP work.
I live very close to the New Forest and the beaches with my mum, dog (Norman) and 2 cats (Trevor and Simon). I try to stay active; I’m nearly there with Couch to 5K and have climbed Snowdon twice. In previous years, I reached blue belt in Kickboxing and Intermediate level in Ballet.
