About George
I am an associate solicitor in the Schools & Charities team, specialising in governance and transactional work for independent schools and charities. I advise national and local charities on incorporation, mergers, dissolution and other governance issues. My work also includes dealing with a wide range of charity property transactions including acquisitions, disposals, leases and secured lending.
In my work, I look to understand the big picture of what my clients are trying to achieve so my advice can be tailored to them. I also seek make the application of charity law as straightforward as possible.
I trained as a solicitor with Moore Barlow, gaining experience in commercial property, corporate work and litigation, alongside charity law. Prior to that, I worked in the commercial property sector for a number of years.
Outside work, my wife and I belong to a church in Guildford. I also enjoy playing a number of sports including golf, tennis and cycling.
