I joined Moore Barlow LLP (formerly Barlow Robbins LLP), in September 2019 after completing the GDL and LPC with MSc in Law, Business and Management. Prior to this I read Anthropology with additional modules in Philosophy (Logic and Reasoning), at the University of Kent. Over the last four years I have spent my summers gaining experience in a variety of law firms, both locally and in London, and at an in-house legal department for a major bank.
My first seat was spent in the Commercial Property department in Guildford. I was able to undertake a diverse range of work, acting for both companies and individuals in leasing, purchasing, and selling residential and commercial property. I particularly enjoyed acting for banks in secured lending transactions, where I was able to see a number of matters through to completion.
My second seat is also in the Guildford office working within the Dispute Resolution department. I am very much looking forward to gaining experience in a contentious, rather than transactional, department, and in particular furthering my understanding of the court process and methods of dispute resolution.
In my spare time, I enjoy long distance swimming, spinning and boxing. I also enjoy singing and sang as a soprano at the performance of Verdi’s Requiem at Canterbury Cathedral in 2016. I also take pleasure in reading non-fiction and science-based literature, particularly topics on human behaviour and medical science.
