Moore Barlow assists Albion & East on Botanica Hall venture

Moore Barlow has assisted Albion & East on securing the 20-year lease of a Grade-II-listed building in the heart of Clapham Junction.

Botanica Hall, an all-day restaurant and bar which also features a vodka distillery, is part of the iconic Arding & Hobbs building that was established in 1876. It was previously occupied by Debenhams until its closure in 2020.

Albion & East was founded by Sarah Weir in 2016 and Botanica Hall becomes the group’s sixth London opening behind Martello Hall in Hackney, Canova Hall in Brixton, Serata Hall in Old Street, Allora Hall in Crouch End and Teatro Hall in Ealing.

Moore Barlow advised on all legal matters with Richard Hughes leading the commercial property transaction.

I am thrilled that we have been able to assist Albion & East in the expansion of their London portfolio by drawing upon our hospitality and property expertise. To see the rejuvenation of the iconic Arding & Hobbs building has been tremendously exciting.
