About Stephen
I am a construction consultant with the firm’s independent schools and charities practice, and I specialise in non-contentious construction law.
It is important that schools and charities are not exposed to unnecessary and costly risk. I am keen to make sure that construction risk is properly captured at the earliest stage and assigned to those parties who are best placed to carry the risk. Having also worked as an engineer in the construction industry, I make sure that our advice is practical and straightforward.
My approach is to be involved as early as possible in a project so that all the correct paperwork can be put in place at the right time. During the course of a project I often provide “live advice” if matters get fractious. The intention is to find a way through without interrupting the construction or getting into a dispute.
