About Alessia

I am a trainee solicitor currently completing my first seat within the Schools and Charities team.

Prior to joining Moore Barlow, I graduated from the University of Exeter with a First-class BSc in Politics and international relations, before achieving a Distinction in the GDL and completing the SQE.

Having lived in five countries during my childhood and early adult years, I have been immersed in a wide range of cultures, political systems, and legal frameworks – each experience fuelling my fascination for law and justice, and shaping my global perspective.

This background has guided my professional journey so far as I have undertaken legal work in a variety of contexts – from vacation schemes in corporate departments at leading London law firms, volunteering at an organised crime clinic in Hong Kong, and qualifying as a children’s social worker. Across each role, I have valued fostering meaningful client relationships built on trust and empathy with a focus on delivering pragmatic legal advice.

Beyond legal practice, I am passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion. This has included co-founding a social justice cause tackling period poverty, and serving as event coordinator for Exeter’s Women in Politics Society, organising events aimed at empowering young women through conversations with inspiring role models.

Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends – whether that’s chatting for hours over a coffee or trying out something new together.
