Moore Blatch finalist in four Solent Deal awards

Moore Blatch has been shortlisted for four awards in the Solent Deal Awards 2017.

Peter Jeffery, partner and specialist in corporate transactions, has been shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year. This follows a successful eighteen months of corporate transactions in the digital and technology sectors for Moore Blatch, with Peter Jeffery himself completing deals worth over £250 million.

The firm has also been shortlisted for Large Deal of the Year (over £50m) for its work on the £57million sale of Trustmarque Solutions, a software and cloud technology solutions provider, to Capita. The deal was led by Peter Jeffery who provided legal support to significantly streamline the corporate structure, including the removal of dormant companies and simplification of a complex group structure in preparation for the sale.

Two further shortlistings have been received for Small Deal of the Year (under ¬£10m), both led by partner Jeremy Over. The first is for the legal advice provided to the shareholders of Opus Telecom Limited on the company’s sale to NIX Communications.

The second award shortlisted for Small Deal of the Year is for the sale of Deacons Boatyard, one of the premier marinas on the Solent, to Dean & Reddyhoff.  Moore Blatch supported the sale and provided legal advice to owners Fuller Group.

The Solent Deals Awards 2017 will be held on the 15th June at the Hilton at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton where the winners will be announced.

Roger Bailey, Head of Corporate at Moore Blatch, comments; “Our corporate team has had an extremely busy year, both locally and nationally. Transaction values have ranged from the hundreds of thousands to the tens of millions and we are very proud of the fact that whatever type of business, and regardless of size, we provide the same excellent service. We are delighted that this has been recognised in our nominations for four Solent Deals Awards.”
