Every child, every family – Child Brain Injury Trust

Join us to champion the ‘Every child, every family’ campaign and raise £2,000 for the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) by 4 February 2024

Our Serious injury, Major trauma and Medical negligence teams have joined forces to champion the ‘Every child, every family’ campaign by The Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT). The collective mission is to raise £2,000 by 4 February 2024.

Moore Barlow are delighted to be supporting this new campaign. CBIT is a fantastic charity that offers support to children that have suffered acquired brain injuries. They also provide much needed support to their families. The consequences of an acquired brain injury can be devastating for the child and their family and CBIT provide emotional and practical support across the UK. They have dedicated acquired brain injury coordinators in most of the major hospitals.

We are the proud legal partner for CBIT across the South of England and London and have a team of dedicated experts to offer assistance on a huge array of legal issues that may affect a family when a child suffers a brain injury. We keep CBIT’s values of putting families first and listening to their needs at the heart of what we do. Our key contacts include Damian Horan and Fadwa Errhioui, who both have extensive experience in representing clients who have suffered serious brain injuries and understand the complexity of how this impacts the children and their families.

The valuable nature of CBIT’s work is evident in the campaign video below which features the Hartes, a family that has received support from the charity.

About the campaign

The overall aim of CBIT’s ‘Every child, every family’ campaign is to raise £150,000 to provide more than 5000 hours of community support to children and their families.

To support the campaign, various teams from Moore Barlow will be taking part in an accumulator challenge to complete 1500km of exercise over just two weeks. A team of volunteers from our Serious injury, Major trauma, and Clinical negligence teams, have all set their own individual targets to complete a certain number of kilometres in varying different forms of exercise including walking, running, cycling and swimming. The challenge has been set over the two-week period of the CBIT campaign which runs live from Sunday 21 January until Sunday 4 February 2024.
