An Eastleigh based insurance broker has been acquired by national company Beyond Doubt Holdings. Law firm Moore Barlow advised the seller on the deal.
Airsports Insurance Bureau was founded in 1993 and is an independent broker which employs 18 insurance experts and serves around 15,000 clients, specialising in travel, car, home and airsports insurance, as well as providing services for fleets and couriers.
The deal will see Airsports Insurance Bureau continue to trade under its current brand name while benefiting from being part of a nationwide insurance brokerage.
Chief executive Darren Nangle will continue working for the business as it transitions into its new phase as part of a national organisation.
The Moore Barlow team was led by Jeremy Over (partner, corporate) and also included Isabelle Balch (associate, corporate) and Victoria Furlong (solicitor, employment).
Jeremy Over, partner at Moore Barlow, said:
This is a big step for Airsports Insurance Bureau, joining a national business, widening its scope and reaching more clients. We’re proud to have been chosen as the trusted adviser as they enter this next chapter.
Darren Nangle, chief executive of Airsports Insurance Bureau, added:
This is a big and exciting step for us. I’m glad Jeremy, Victoria and Isabelle supported us through the transaction, and their advice ensured the best outcomes for our business, clients, and future.
It’s very much business as usual, but with the support from a larger organisation as we continue on our growth journey.
