Today [24 June 2024], we are very pleased to announce the appointment of new partner Richard Burgess to our Private Wealth team.
Richard will join Moore Barlow from his joint roles as Director and Senior Solicitor at professional services firm Moore Kingston Smith, where he has spent the last six years providing practical, tax and estate-planning advice to entrepreneurial private clients.
Prior to his time at Moore Kingston Smith, Richard worked as a solicitor at full-service law firm Lester Aldridge, where he gained significant experience advising a range of high-profile and high-net-worth clients as part of the private client team at this Bournemouth-based firm’s London office. Among other things, his work involved complicated family matters and the use of trusts, allowing Richard to significantly expand his technical knowledge and expertise in these areas.
Richard covers all aspects of private client wealth advice, including estate planning and wills, trusts, estate administration, tax and lasting powers of attorney.
Speaking of his appointment to the Moore Barlow Private Wealth team, Richard said:
I am extremely excited to embark on this next chapter of my career and share my knowledge and experience. I love to help others, and Moore Barlow has a fantastic reputation as a firm that truly looks after both clients and colleagues – its human-first culture and ethos are renowned throughout the sector.
We couldn’t be happier to have Richard coming on board. He is extremely talented and has a wide range of experience working with many different client profiles. He has demonstrated throughout his career that lending a helping hand is what he does best, and that is ultimately what our work with our clients, and our team-members, is all about here at Moore Barlow.
