On behalf of the Charities Team I am pleased to invite you to our Annual Charities Forum, which will be held on Monday 23 March at The Harbour Hotel, Guildford.
I am delighted that Helen Earner, Director of Regulatory Services at the Charity Commission, will be joining us as our guest speaker. Helen’s teams are responsible for all the Commission’s core regulatory functions, including registrations, compliance, inquiries and permissions. Helen will be speaking, amongst other things, about how the Commission approaches these different areas.
Members of our team will provide legal updates on a range of issues affecting charities including (in response to feedback from last year’s event) managing volunteers, common pitfalls in dealing with charity property, changing charitable objects and the latest version of the Charity Governance Code.
There will be plenty of time for questions as well.
