Moore Barlow raises £1,100 for YMCA and homelessness charities

Top 100 UK law firm Moore Barlow is proud to announce its recent participation in the YMCA Sleep Easy challenge, which looks to raise awareness and funds for the YMCA and UK homelessness services.

A team of volunteers from the firm recently took on the challenge of the YMCA Sleep Easy event, originally planned for March but rescheduled to October following Covid-19 restrictions.

The team had originally planned to spend the night sleeping outside in the Guildford Castle grounds. However, for the rearranged event, participants were encouraged to connect with each other virtually and online whilst spending the night sleeping “anywhere but your bed.” This included some team members sleeping outside in gardens or on the floors in their homes.

The team raised a total of £1,100, all of which will be donated to support vulnerable young people and homelessness services in Surrey and West Sussex.

This experience was extremely humbling and insightful. Hearing from so many individuals on the night whose lives have been transformed following support from the YMCA and UK homelessness services made it clear that, now more so than ever, these services are vital and must continue to be supported.

We feel incredibly honoured to work with and support  the YMCA . Over the last couple of years we have witnessed the incredible, life-changing work they do for so many. As a firm we take great pleasure in supporting these events and we were delighted to have the opportunity to raise funds for such an important cause.
