About our trainee programme
Training contracts and qualifying work experience are a partnership between the trainee and the firm. We expect hard work, commitment, flexibility, drive and a hunger to learn and develop. We will fully support you and help you achieve your aims.
Our well-established training programme means that you will work across the business and experience a range of the legal disciplines that we cover.
You will benefit from a structured programme focused on providing you with the experience, support, education and hands on involvement that will prepare you for what lies ahead following qualification.
Your training will typically be organised into a number of different seats. The allocation of seats depends on demand and the commercial needs of each business team. We take your preferences into account when allocating seats wherever possible and ensure that you gain broad experience.
You will also work alongside experienced solicitors in teams including dispute resolution, private wealth, real estate, corporate, employment, family, schools and charities, clinical negligence and personal injury.
You will be given every opportunity to take on responsibility as your knowledge and experience increases. We will support you during your training, but we also expect you to take responsibility for your own learning and for developing additional skills. We encourage client contact early in your career.
We actively encourage development and involvement beyond the legal training – with business development, charity and other initiatives and marketing events being an integral and important part of your development.
