Working from home guidance not to be lifted until 19 July

The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson previously indicated that the government’s current work from home guidance will end on 21 June 2021. However, given the Prime Minister’s speech on 14 June whereby the government announced they have delayed the final stage of lifting the coronavirus restrictions until 19 July, the guidance is to stay in place until then.

People have been encouraged to work from home since March 2020 and this will be the fourth and final stage of the roadmap. People are still advised to work from home where they can until the roadmap review has been completed.

Employers and employees should discuss their working arrangements and employers should take steps to make their workplaces COVID-19 secure including social distancing requirements.  If your job cannot be done from home, you can travel into the workplace.
