About the role

We have a fantastic new role for an experienced Revenue Manager reporting to the Head of Finance, working in a high performing professional finance team. This is a great opportunity to join a busy team where you will be involved in a fast paced environment and be responsible for the management of the Revenue Team and part of the department’s leadership team.

You will have an opportunity to lead and develop your team and really make an impact on the firm’s financial performance. Based in either Guildford or Southampton but managing a team covering the firm’s six offices from the City to the South Coast.

As Revenue Manager you will be responsible for the firm’s time-to-cash cycle. You will manage a team of three Revenue Controllers and be responsible for ensuring that the team helps the firm and partners achieve billing and collections targets and working capital lock up objectives.

You will be the business process owner for collections and credit control, and develop appropriate policies for client exposure management; monitoring and reporting on fee realisations, maximising collections and minimising bad debt charges.

You will be involved in setting targets and objectives and also ongoing development and improvement of processes and systems.

As the Revenue Manager you will have a lot of contact with Partners providing advice, feedback and recommendations to help them manage their caseloads and operational aspects of their practices.

What we look for:

  • Previous management experience is a must, gained working within credit or revenue control roles ideally within a law firm or similar professional services business. Alternatively you may be a management accountant looking to lead a team and utilise your accounting and commercial skills to make an impact on this critical area of the business.
  • You must have strong Excel skills and experience of using Elite 3E would be an advantage. You will have strong systems knowledge and a good knowledge of relevant VAT rules.
  • Experience of managing system and process change would be an advantage.
