Key tasks will include:

·         Fulfil personal case load, managing Private Wealth cases from start to finish

·         Assist with marketing and business development for the department and firm

·         Report to the Team Leader in charge of the team

·         Assist Team fee earners to fulfil their case loads

·         Assist with the coaching and mentoring of support staff to improve their knowledge and capability 

What we look for:

Your Role at Moore Barlow We have an exciting opportunity for an NQ – 2 year Private Client lawyer to join and work in our experienced and specialist team of private wealth lawyers in Lymington. Not only will the chosen candidate experience a wide ranging and diverse workload, interacting with wealthy and sophisticated clients but will also gain training from nationally recognised lawyers. As part of the role you will be working on succession planning projects with farmers and landed estate owners and so an empathy with the countryside and rural issues is highly desirable. We are committed to providing excellent service to our clients and we are looking for someone who shares this passion and enthusiasm. Work will include taking instructions and preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, succession planning, inheritance tax and capital gains tax mitigation planning, creation, administration and winding up of trusts, advice concerning farming business structures including farming partnerships, trusts and companies, probates and Court of Protection matters. The department consists of four partners and twelve other fee earners including two Chartered Tax Advisors all based in Lymington but this is part of a much bigger Private Wealth team spread across Southampton, Guildford, Woking, Richmond and the City. You will also be part of the nationally recognised Rural Services team which is a group of specialist lawyers brought together to advise farmers and landed estate owners on a whole range of issues which affect them.
