What are we looking for?

This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable Conveyancer with Residential Property experience to join our fast-paced Residential Property team. The chosen candidate will experience a wide ranging and diverse workload within a team who are committed to providing excellent service to our clients, so we’re looking for someone who shares this passion and enthusiasm.

We are a diverse, experienced, and flexible team handling a very broad mix of residential property transactions. This will be a fee earning role working with a supportive team and managing your own caseload. You will be responsible for residential property transactions from start to finish under the day to day supervision of the Partner, whilst working closely with other fee earners in the team.

You may have an opportunity to get involved in marketing and business development for the department, so there is scope for your own personal career growth within the role.

Key tasks will include:

  • Need to complete tasks and paperwork to deadlines 
  • Deal with all enquiries regarding transactions
  • Handle the pre and post exchange work
  • Handle the financial aspects of exchange and completion
  • Supervise and assist with post completion work e.g. payment of SDLT, registration with Land Registry and/or Companies House
  • Ensure contacts and referrers are kept regularly updated
  • Maintain excellent client relationships
  • Attend networking events and market the team to ensure file numbers and targets are met 

What we look for:

• Have experience in Residential conveyancing • Must be a good team player willing to work cooperatively with others. • Good organisation with strong administration skills. • Able to produce a large quantity of work and complete tasks to strict deadlines. • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel. • Excellent internal stakeholder and client handling skills. • Enthusiasm • Have the ability to be highly productive • Be able to cope with pressure • Be able to work flexibly to assist others and willing to put in extra hours to get the work done particularly at peak periods • Ability to quickly adjust to new systems and work processes • Have good telephone call handling skills
